Testing of windows and balconies

Euroconsult New technologies has developed a test bed for windows and balcony elements compliant with the latest European standards, capable of performing the following tests fully automatically on samples measuring up to 7.5 m2:

• Air permeability

• Wind resistance

• Water tightness

Data are recorded automatically by a monitoring system integrated into the testing equipment, thus eliminating the potential for human error that exists in other measuring systems where data are recorded manually. This ensures maximum clarity and precision in technical reports.

To ensure automatic adjustment, duplicate sensors are fitted for different ranges, and all the physical parameters involved (water flow rate, air flow and pressure, etc) are monitored and calibrated in real-time.

This test bed is intended not only to facilitate automatic adjustment to the parameters of the relevant standards, but also to provide data on precision and assess the uncertainties that arise in all processes, even when they are automated.

As a result, the BEV2002 test bed can perform classification tests for specific standards, checking for compliance with technical prescriptions, and can also act as a tool for improving the quality of products and materials, e.g. with fatigue testing.
